Texas Bull Rider Leaves National Western $20,000 richer
DENVER, Colo. – It was a profitable three days at the National Western Stock Show’s Denver Chute-Out for Cort McFadden from Novice, Texas.
The 2022 high school graduate had the highest total score out of approximately 90 bull riders to win the title at the event which is part of the Professional Bull Riders’ Velocity Tour. He rode his first bull here on Monday night scoring 86.5 points. That score got him a second opportunity on Wednesday where he scored 87.5 points on Crazy Times a bull owned by Hart Cattle Company and Randy Wood.
He was in the lead going into the final 15 but failed to last the required eight seconds on Border Crisis another bull owned by the Hart’s along with Hale Cattle Company. The bulls dominated the competition and no one was successful on three bulls, so the title went to McFadden. He earned a total of $20,985 in the Denver Coliseum.
Second place was a tie with Hunter Ball and Paulo Eduardo Rossetto each having 170.5 points. Rossetto who comes from Brazil won the most money of the two because of how he placed in the rounds. He collected $12,875. Ball calls Carsonville, Michigan home and the 22-year-old added $9,580 to his checking account.
Eric Henrique, Domingos, who had the high-marked ride on Monday night at 87 rounded out the top four with 169 on two head to earn $8,845. Domingos is also from Brazil.
