Our Non-Profit Mission

The National Western Stock Show is a 501(c)(3)

The National Western Stock Show was formed as a 501(c)(3) in 1906. Our primary role is education, focused on agriculture and the Western way of life. We started simply as a livestock show in 1906 with 15,000 ranchers and 350 animals. Today, we are known as the "Super Bowl" of livestock shows with more than 15,000 animals competing to be crowned champion. We produce nearly 30 professional rodeos, more than 10 world-class horse shows, and the largest western trade show in Colorado. Attendance has risen to a consistent level of more than 700,000 each year. Through our education programs and Scholarship Trust, we support youth development and college-level students in the field of agriculture and rural medicine.

Non-profit Mission

Investing in future generations, guided by its western heritage, the Western Stock Show Association serves the world, promoting youth and community development through livestock and equestrian education, innovation, entertainment, and competition.

Colorado Gives

As a non-profit, we participate in Colorado Gives each December. This annual day of giving helps fundraise for non-profits throughout the state of Colorado.

By giving to Stock Show, you're helping support agricultural education among our future leaders, developing their appreciation, and knowledge about animals and where their food comes from. Plus, by supporting the Stock Show, you are helping us provide college scholarships, in ag-related studies, to over 100 recipients each year!

For 16 days every January, it’s the fabric of our state and a celebration of our Western roots. You can donate through Colorado Gives at any time, or participate in this year's day of giving, on December 5, 2023.
