Defying the Odds

Riley Tade, the 18-year-old from Ashland, Missouri, made his debut this year in the Junior Market Goat Show at the National Western Stock Show.

Tade has been showing for five years, but this year was a special year for him since he finally reached his goal, which was to be an exhibitor at the National Western Stock Show, the Super Bowl of Livestock Shows.

Tade’s mother, Jennifer Tade, said they attended National Western a few years ago to get a feel for the show and make sure he was ready. The goal for Tade’s family was to show by the year 2016, but Tade suffered from some medical setbacks that did not permit him to attend or show.

Tade defies the odds and owns the show ring. He is an inspiration to us all!

Tade exhibited the Lightweight Champion Junior Market Goat.
