2027 Contest Opens October 8th!
National Western is on the hunt for a National Anthem singer this January! Warm up your vocal cords and dust off your boots -- the National Anthem contest opens October 8th, 2026. Details are below -- good luck!
Submit a video of yourself/group singing the national anthem to be considered. Please upload an mp4 video file using the appropriate guidelines and script in the form below.
Voting Will Open on October 22nd
The top 9 videos submitted will be selected to move into the voting round. The top 9 singers will be contacted on October 21st, and voting will begin on October 22nd. The video with the most likes/votes will win the grand prize.
Voting Timeline: October 22 – November 4 at 11:59 pm
Winner Selection Process
Voting closes on November 4 at 11:59 pm, and the top singer will be contacted on November 5th. The winner will be announced live on the radio with 98.5 KYGO on November 6th. The winner can select a virtual or in-studio interview with KYGO talent.
Grand Prize: One lucky winner will get to sing the National Anthem at a pro rodeo during the 2027 National Western Stock Show.
