Press Release: 2024 National Western Stock Show is Underway

Denver, CO – The much-anticipated 118th National Western Stock Show presented by CommonSpirit Health officially opened its doors on Saturday with success, drawing an impressive crowd of over 107,641 enthusiastic attendees to celebrate Colorado’s cherished western tradition.

Appreciative of the overwhelming support, Paul Andrews, President & CEO of the National Western Stock Show, stated, “We are so thankful for the tens of thousands of Stock Show fans that joined us for opening weekend. And we are looking forward to more to come.”

The box office, stock show grounds, animals, vendors, and activities are all open for business today, and world champion PBR bulls and bull riders compete tonight in the first of three PBR Bull Riding competitions at 7 pm.  

Tuesday, January 9th, is Free Grounds Admission Day, presented by Arrow Electronics. Attendees can enjoy activities, including the Coors Western Art exhibit, Murdoch’s NW Nursery featuring newborn animals, the ever-popular Petting Farm presented by King Soopers, and acres of food and shopping. Andrews emphasized, “The number of things to do and see across our grounds are endless. Being able to come enjoy them for free is even better.”

Guests are encouraged to utilize the free parking available at Coors Field. The Coors Field lots open daily at 8 am, with complimentary shuttles ensuring a convenient 10-minute ride to the complex, dropping passengers off directly in front of the National Western Complex.

The 118th National Western Stock Show runs through January 21st. Grounds admission and event tickets can be purchased at nationalwestern.com.
