CSU Ag Adventure
CSU Ag Adventure is the perfect place for children and adults to learn about the world of agriculture. Guests participate in a hands-on experience learning about Colorado animal and crop production, featuring commodities from across the state.

The Dairy Discovery Zone is a fun, interactive exhibit where you and your family can discover the world of dairy and how your milk gets from the farm to the fridge.
Hutchison Western Pony Trails
Horse around in this exhibit that will teach you everything you want to know about our equine friends.
The Hutchison Western Pony Trails exhibit is interactive, educational, and built with kids in mind! Watch live horse demonstrations that teach how to measure and groom a horse, learn about breeds, colors, and the differences between English and Western disciplines. Meet the Denver Mounted Patrol, and learn about the Temple Grandin Equine Center. Don’t forget your camera, because there are lots of photo opportunities within this exciting exhibit!

King Soopers Petting Farm
Come face to face with over 60 barnyard animals! The Petting Farm is FREE with your grounds admission ticket.
Mini Sicilian donkeys, pygmy goats, and mini-call ducks make up the diverse group of friendly animals. Kids of all ages will enjoy feeding the animals by hand. Feed cones can be purchased for $5 or 2 for $8.

National Western Nursery
Come meet National Western’s newest arrivals of your favorite farm animals and learn about their first days of life on the farm. State FFA officers oversee the care and feeding at the Nursery, and serve to answer questions about animal health and well-being. Included are a Holstein calf and Jersey calf, sow and piglets, goat and kids, ewe and lambs, alpacas and cria, and a miniature pony.

Want to get a behind-the-scenes look at Stock Show? Join us for a fun, interactive tour that will take you into the heart of the Stock Show where you will learn about

The Colorado Old Time Fiddlers’ Association (COTFA) is dedicated to fiddling of all kinds, with a special emphasis on Texas-style fiddling.

GASCAR Animal Races
NEW for 2026, watch inter-species animal racing like you’ve never seen before! Goats, sheep, pigs and other surprise animals wear racing silks as they hoof and waddle their way around and sometimes over the track! GASCAR takes place each day at select times – check our daily schedule for this show you won’t want to miss!

Mile High Open Auctioneer Championship
Come and see the best auctioneers from around the country compete in a two-round competition for a $15,000 purse at the National Western. The Colorado Auctioneers Foundation (CAF) produces the event and shares the same fundraising goal with the Western Stock Show Association. Proceeds benefit college scholarships awarded by the CAF. Up to 30 contestants sell in the preliminary round, and five finalists compete in the final round.

Mini Zebu Show
These heat-loving, disease-resistant cattle measure less than 42 inches tall and originate from South Asia. They are known for their hump-backs and horns and somewhat resemble what a mini bucking bull would look like.

Stadium Arena Mutton Bustin'
Stadium Arena Mutton Bustin’ is an hour packed with nothing but pure Mutton Bustin’ fun! This event will take place in the historic Stadium Arena during the January 2026 show. 50 future cowboys or cowgirls per night will be selected to join in on the fun!

Stock Dog Trials
The National Western Stock Show takes pride in highlighting the relationship between these amazing animals and their human counterparts. From backyard pets to a cowman’s top assistant, dogs are man’s best friend.

Remarkable Roundup
The Remarkable Roundup is a fun-filled, adaptive ag event for kids with special needs. Cowboys and rodeo queens will come together to create an interactive rodeo with events
including Steer Roping, Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, and Barrel Racing (no live animals are used, only props). Accessible with a grounds admission ticket, all guests are able to come on down and watch this heartwarming event. Participation is not open to the public.
