Denver, CO – The National Western Stock Show, presented by CommonSpirit Health, has announced a one-hour delay for the annual Kick-Off Parade due to forecasted weather conditions. The parade will now begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

The decision was made in coordination with the National Weather Service, city officials, and transportation advisors to ensure the safety of animals, riders, parade participants, and spectators. Adjusting the start time will allow for improved conditions during the event.

This year’s parade, a cherished tradition that brings Western heritage to the heart of downtown Denver, will feature the 2025 Grand Marshal Kathy Sabine, avid equestrian, celebrated chief meteorologist, and longtime Colorado ambassador.

Parade highlights include a procession of horse-drawn wagons, western riding groups, and the iconic Longhorn cattle drive.
