Lifetime Membership
The Western Stock Show Association was formed in 1906 as a non-profit corporation whose mission is education in agriculture, and it qualifies as an IRS 501(c) (3) charitable educational institution. Through its professional staff and committees, the association produces and organizes the internationally renowned National Western Stock Show, and operates the nation’s premier center for America’s western heritage. That is overseen and governed by a 19- member Board of Directors selected by a 99-member Board of Trustees who in turn are elected by over 1900 members. Committees are involved year-round in all aspects of the organization and are comprised of volunteers.
Lifetime Membership
About Membership: Membership in the Western Stock Show Association is open to any individual or entity interested in the educational purposes of the Association in the fields of livestock and agriculture. Association members are encouraged to participate at the Annual Meeting of the Members held each May and special membership meetings held throughout the year. Member support of and at the National Western Stock Show each January is encouraged and appreciated.
How to Become a Member: Persons or entities interested in becoming Lifetime Members of the Association must submit to the Nominating Committee letters of support from two members of the Association, one of whom must be a current Trustee or member of the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee will bring forth those nominations to the Board of Directors at each Board meeting, and the Board shall review all membership applications for acceptance. Applications are accepted year-round and approvals are held up to 6 times a year in a cohort format. Accepted recipients will be sent a welcome letter and membership fee invoice upon Board of Directors approval.
Cost: Beginning September 1, 2026 Lifetime Membership fees are as follows:
- 1-Time Initiation Fee: $2,500
- Yearly Dues: $200
Lifetime Members must be in good standing in order to receive their Stock Show benefits, which include 1 member credential, 1 commemorative badge, 4 guest passes and 1 NW Club pass for the January show as well as the opportunity to purchase a VIP parking pass.
Lifetime Member Benefits: Lifetime Members receive 1 member credential for grounds access, 4 guest passes for grounds access, 1 NW Club Pass, and a commemorative badge for the January show for life as well as voting rights at the Annual Meeting that takes place each spring. Additionally, Lifetime Members can choose to purchase a VIP Parking Pass, and other members-only benefits on an annual basis, each September for the January show.
Application Process: If you wish to become a Lifetime Member, please complete the Lifetime Membership application below. You must have two nominators to be considered. Please note that one nominator must be a current Trustee or Director on the Board and the other nominator must be a current member. One the application is received, it will be reviewed by the Governance and Nominating Committee for approval before being reviewed by the Board of Directors for final approval.
Review Periods: The Governance and Nominating Committee and Board of Directors review Lifetime Applications 6 times a year. Approvals take place for 2026 in February, April, August, September, November, and December.
