Denver Scholarship Program
Education and community have always been at the heart of the National Western Stock Show since the first show back in 1906. It is our mission to support local, urban youth in their continuing education and to inspire the next generation of leaders in the diverse fields of agriculture. The National Western Stock Show is pleased to announce our new scholarship opportunity for Denver high school students, the National Western Stock Show, Denver Scholarship Program.
Scholarships in this new program will be awarded to graduating seniors from public high schools, college preparatory schools, or religious affiliated schools located in the City and County of Denver. Applicants should exhibit a passion and desire to pursue undergraduate degrees and career paths that focus on making contributions to the emerging and influential fields of agriculture. This focus can be expressed in any number of ways and through any major or area of study, so long as their goal is to contribute to progress and leadership in agriculture, from local to global. Scholarship recipients may, for example, plan to study in the areas of agricultural science, animal science, engineering, teaching and research, sustainability, communication, business, innovation and entrepreneurship, soil sciences or others. Scholarship applicants will need to articulate why they are passionate about agriculture and how they intend to contribute through their chosen area of study.
