Employment FAQ
Q: Are all positions seasonal positions?

Â
Q: If I have worked at NWSS before, do I still have to fill out an application?
A: Yes, every candidate, whether you have worked at NWSS before or not, has to fill out an application for the position they are interested in. If selected for a position, rehired individuals will be required to complete the hiring and onboarding process, regardless of whether they have completed it in the past.
Q: Is a drivers license required for all positions?
A: No, only positions operating vehicles or equipment off National Western grounds require a driver’s license. You can check to see if the job you are interested in requires a driver’s license under the posting’s Skills & Abilities section.
Q: Marijuana is legal in Colorado. Why does National Western have a zero-tolerance policy?
A: National Western has a zero-tolerance policy for the use of all drugs or alcohol for all employees while working or on National Western grounds. The goal of this policy is to keep our employees safe and to avoid safety risks or injuries. As heavy equipment operation is taking place every day at our Complex and animals are regularly present, it is important that all employees remain alert for the safety of themselves and others.
